    1. The best views in the Mineral King area will require you to hike uphill for a few miles at least before getting to the best viewpoints. Even the hike up to beautiful Monarch Lakes is pretty tough to do as an out and back hike. The views along the road leading to the Mineral King Ranger Station are nice and you can see some decent views from the Mineral King Trailheads, but there is not too much as far as easy trails there. It’s more a backpacking or 8-10 mile day hike area. For some easy hikes in Sequoia NP, I think the Grant Grove area or the Giant Forest area might be better choices than Mineral King!
